ASSH 47th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand in Toronto, Canada

ASSH Council member headed to the Presidential Dinner

The 47th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand was held in Toronto, Canada, October 3-7, 2023. I enjoyed the various dinners and receptions, and special lectures, as always.

I had the pleasure of presenting talks on multiple topics:

I covered new technology and various injectable treatments for common upper extremity conditions FN Precourse 14.

I moderated a panel on new technology for Repair of Flexor Tendon Injuries featuring the CoNextions device.

I presented on Complex Tendon Reconstruction on an Instructional Course.

Additionally, as the President of the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand, I participated in the ASSH Council Meeting for Strategic Planning, and the AFSH Board of Trustees Meeting, as well as addressing the New and Lifetime members at their lunchtime meeting. I was happy to give a shout-out for the Foundation at the Hand-to-Hand Music Jamboree and Fundraiser at the Steam Whistle Biergarten. I was happy to be part of the Innovators and Educators Reception coinciding with the Resident and Fellows educational programs and pre-courses, and the Solutions Center focused on our industry partners and supporters, and was involved in multiple sessions. This was a very successful meeting with lots of positive feedback.

It was great to be in Toronto, one of my favorite cities, and meet with old and new friends.

Looking forward to the 2024 meeting in Minneapolis Minnesota.
