Mashairo Tatebe, M.D., the 2012 Japanese Society for Surgery of the Hand Traveling Fellow was hosted by Edward Diao, M.D. in San Francisco as the finale to his 6 week tour of the U.S.. He observed consultation visits and surgery cases at Dr. Diao’s offices, California Pacific Medical Center, University of California San Francisco and San Francisco General Hospital. Dr. Diao was honored to show Dr. Tatebe around San Francisco, exchanging thoughts on Hand Surgery and discussing different techniques. Dr. Tatebe returned to Japan safely and sent Dr. Diao a kind letter.
