Spring Meetings of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand

As President of the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand, I was delighted to be part of the organizing committee and participant for the Corporate Advisory Council, where our partners in industry and our ASSH and AFSH leadership get together to evaluate our relationship and strengthen it by providing access, education, support, and services for the Hand and Upper Extremity Practitioner Community. As always, lots of new ideas come through in the session and many of these we incorporate in the following year’s Annual Meeting. More specifically we develop ways to enhance and invigorate the exhibits and educational and learning activities in the Solutions Center.

President Steve Moran and the ASSH Central Office organized a spectacular set of meetings for the Spring Council Meeting in New Orleans, over the next three days. We also had opportunities for social activities and wonderful meals. This helps to bond the council members and staff to do their best collaborative work! I am very proud to be very active in the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand. This remains the premier organization for hand in upper extremity surgeons, physicians, and practitioners.
