Women’s Tennis at the US Open




Two 33-year-old women players are facing each other at the marquee night match at Ashe Stadium… The largest tennis arena in the world. Both have amazing stories regarding their returns to Grand Slam tennis!


Carolyn Wozniacki is a former number 1 player, and mother of two, who has rejoined the pro tour. Married to former Warriors great David Lee. She also has rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disorder that often affects the hand.




Petra Kovitova is former world number 2 and winner of 2 grand slam

titles.


Her story is that she survived an attack where she had a severe injury to her left dominant hand.


Multiple digital nerves and tendons were severed by a knife.
